Turas Photo Ltd is committed to protecting the privacy, safety, and wellbeing of children whose photographs we take and process on behalf of schools.

This statement explains how we safeguard pupil images and personal data.

Our role

We act as a data processor when carrying out school photography
Schools remain responsible for obtaining parental or guardian consent
We only photograph pupils in line with the instructions and agreements in place with each school

Safeguarding approach

All of our photographers are PVG checked
Photography takes place on school premises and under school supervision
We follow the school’s safeguarding procedures while on site
Our staff conduct themselves professionally at all times when working with children
We do not photograph children outside of the agreed school context

Use of pupil photographs

Pupil photographs are used only for school photography purposes
Images are made available solely to parents or guardians through secure, password-protected online galleries
Photographs are never displayed publicly or used for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes unless express permission is received in writing
Images are not shared on social media

Access control and security

To protect pupil data:

Gallery passwords are issued by the school and should only be shared with parents or guardians
Access to images is restricted to authorised staff at Turas Photo Ltd
Images are stored securely and are not accessible to the general public or search engines
